You will need a gun with a small scope on it. The 10.8" won't give you much room. I purchased this case for that use and my Impact wasn't even close to fitting.

I agree. At least 13" would work. The last time I measured the height of my R5M with an SWFA 3-15X42 mounted in a 1.5" height scope mount, 13" is what I needed. If your getting a Pelican case and plan to cut the foam, you'll need an additional 2" on each side for better protection against hard bumps.
