I had a .25 cal 700mm stx barrel ordered for my impact and was very apprehensive if i was doing the right thing as it was 450.00 bucks and was it actually worth it? Well the gun is a (shooter) my average group at 58yrds is (about) 1/2 inch ctc. This is the group that made me hold off on that order. By the way my back yard is about 70yrds fence to fence so 58yrds is where i have my range set up. (5) shots 58yrds 34gr jsb mk2s 850fps

WOW!, I can only hope I can get mine shooting like that @50yds, mine is in .22cal. 75yds is the longest distance @ my home range, my goal is .5 MOA @ that distance?

Excellent group! So are u saying that this gun shoots like this with the standard smooth twist 600mm barrel? I’d say with those groups you’d be hard pressed at improving on that.
I think u need to go out to 100 yd and beyond to see if things still hold together. If not and you can compare to others’ groups with the 700 X then you might be able to make a better decision. 450+ bucks is mucho dinero so you have to make it count.
My Impact is also a great shooter. I have gotten 3/8” groups at 50 and about 0.5” at 75. It opens to 2” at 100. I have been considering the 259 buck 600mm x barrel upgrade insert but haven’t pulled the trigger as they have not been available yet.
Keep those great groups coming.

I would love to see ST vs ST X 600 vs ST X 700 groups but that would be difficult to find someone with all three.
