I was lucky enough to pick up this beautiful rifle approximately 10 years ago. It’s in amazing condition, and I believe original condition. I wanted to shoot a chipmunk with it, for a variety of reasons. It shoots high, really high. I Checked point of impact at approximately 12 yards It was 5 inches high. At 20 yards it was over a foot high.
because of the above, I knew I had to get really close. I figured 10 yards. It’s hard to hold below something accurately. And to estimate hold under. I just started the walk, maybe 40 feet. I heard the big churp…Penny and I stopped in our tracks. Amazing. She knows we are hunting. A minute or two later another churp,And then chippy appears 15 feet away. Sitting on a branch. I held 3 inches under, and rolled him. That 22 caliber pellet hit him hard. He was done instantly. Right in the shoulder. Even with Penny he was not retrievable. She went down the crevasse about 10 feet, and looked at me for instructions, and I called her back. The photo below is an image from a previous recent shoulder kill.
