Looks like a tie. VERY high grade ammo shot in that Vudoo. You don’t get SD that good without dropping the bucks on top grade $$$ ammo.
Was that at 175 yards? And I wonder how many shots he could get from the Panther at that power level? I’m guessing 12 -ish?

Pretty close in precision to each other.
It'd be neat to see higher quality ammo used in the Vudoo 22rf vs the Panthera tuned in well, then keep stretching distances.

Agree. What rimfire ammo did he use? I think my .25 Panther 600mm shoots that well (or better) at 200 yards (than those two guns at 175Y) with the 49.5 grain Altaros slugs at 890 fps.
Why was he so hard over on getting the 40 grain up to 1000 fps? I thought he was going to stop at 950 when he had the reg just over 150 bar. Probably same accuracy and at least 5 more shots per fill. Guys seems so hard over getting to that “magical” 1000 fps with no real reason to do so other than to get into a Dick measuring contest.

He probably doesn't know exactly what tunes work best yet??? Until a few months ago I didn't realize that 900-ish fps is a sweet spot as far as wind drift is concerned, that thanks to BallisticBoy.
Barrel harmonics come into play so finding the compromise between ES, the barrel harmonics, and a more efficient tune, might make that Panthera shoot twice as good??? And I think there are superior slug choices as well.
SK SP ammo is a touch above the mid quality ammo's. I shoot Wolf Match extra which is the same quality level as SK SP. Fortunately this shoots decent in my Anschutz and I paid $9 a box last year.
22rf ammo is funny stuff. One lot can shoot awesome in a gun or not so well.
My best personal example is having Lapua 22rf ammo tested at the Lapua test facility.
I found one lot number of Polar Biathlon, which is two tiers lower that their best which is X-act, and it shot "almost" as good as the best lot of X-act. Back then like 9 years ago the PB was $12.50 a box and the X-act was $19 a box so very high quality ammo.
We also found lot numbers of both those ammo's that didn't shoot the best in my gun. It's an odd thing because one would think that spending that much on ammo would produce consistent results in the higher quality rifles, nope??!!
The caveat is one has more chance of the ammo shooting well as the price goes up. In my example the worst lot of X-act shot better than the worst lot of PB. My gun didn't like any of the CenterX which is odd?? Back then it was $10 a box.
The big box store bulk ammo often doesn't shoot well. The worst I've seen 175 fps ES with it, 2.75" groups at 50Y, and about every 20 rounds the cartridge wouldn't even fire.
30-ish fps ES is about the best one can hope for with the best 22rf ammo and it can put down sub 1/4 groups at 50Y often. Though the ES becomes more apparent as the distance increases and can get pretty bad by 300Y.
I have a feeling that the 22rf with better ammo tested in his gun would still be similar if the Panthera was tuned in well. That's why I thought it would be interesting to see.

I don’t know what the groups actually measured but it seems the panthera did a bit better. Just my opinion but I would rather see them moved to a distance given conditions that would enable groups that didn’t look like shotgun blasts.

I think we all are so used to seeing “keyboard” groups that when a Tuber is honest and shows his actual groups we think it’s not good. More than likely that is exactly what you can expect from your .22 Panthera 700mm shooting those gen2 Patriot slugs 40 grain at 175 yards. Gerhard even said in his latest video the 1:16 twist shoots much better for him than the stock 1:18 twist that comes with the gun? Not sure why he said that since 1:16 is stock Sup Heavy in the USA. Maybe he meant 1:14 like the 800mm liner?

It’s not that his groups were not good it’s that conditions or the distance just didn’t make it viable to shoot any tighter groups. Think more precision is needed to really declare a winner.

My opinion: he doesn’t have that Vudoo sorted properly. It’s not reasonable talk about accuracy potential of a match rimfire without using lot-selected ammo.
The SK he used is an affordable match ammo. Sometimes it’s even the most accurate option. But it’s likely he could halve that group size by testing and locating a lot it really likes.
The Panthera shot very well. Certainly not giving up much on rimfire and even with premium slugs and air, beats premium rimfire costing .40 each. Plus the rimfire ammo market is a mess with all of the NRL shooters now competing for the same supply chain as the benchrest and 3 position match shooters. I also suspect the Pantera (or any airgun) is a step ahead in magazine capacity and cycling because feeding and extracting premium .22LR is fussy at times even with a Vudoo.
