i usually order ammo from AoA and they usually pack them decently. not this time.. i hope this isn’t a new practice they’ve adopted.

I just ordered ammo from aoa last week and it was packed as good as ever being pellets. I've learned usps and lead don't mix. In the hayday of "if it fits it ships" flat rate I was buying 50 lbs of lead bars and scrap ingots at a go. They were obviously mad and throwing it around and made me come to the local post office to pick up all my little muffin pan I got of wheel weight scrap. More than once it was all over the place and they made me pick it up. I got a free federal property corrugated crate tho.i usually order ammo from AoA and they usually pack them decently. not this time.. i hope this isn’t a new practice they’ve adopted.View attachment 565693
@daddypaddy You’re doing many of us a favor if the count in the description doesn’t match what’s in the box. It has happened to me several times with various vendors. Most are usually pretty good at resolving discrepancies. Please keep us posted. Have you looked on the NSA site to see if they have 400 ct boxes? Which caliber did you order, .22? Even if it’s a typo, I hope they honor their mistake if the mistake is on someone in that shop.i literally received it just earlier. i also noticed that the ammo that arrived were boxes of 300. the website shows them listed as 400 pcs.
i did send an email and have yet to hear a response. i’ll keep the forum updated
Yeah that is bad. Hopefully they refund as the damage is 100% on them not the carrier.wowww.. so i just shot some of the nsa slugs i got. they were making sharp turns in every direction. my notos normally shoots golf balls out to 75 yards with them.. not today. i was about to start taking my gun apart to see the barrel but decided to take a look at the ammo first.
do you see what i see? i’m willing to bet at least 90% of the 300 are like this. i’ll be sending pictures to AoA.

if you’ve ordered recently. check your ammo. these will not balance and will fly in all sorts of directions.
You should have spoken to the postmaster or the area postal inspector. If the package broke open, then that's the shippers fault and they can demand better packing. I've shipped tons of lead 60-70# at a time and never a problem. I dis tape them up well with fiberglass packing tape.I just ordered ammo from aoa last week and it was packed as good as ever being pellets. I've learned usps and lead don't mix. I will say for that to be in an envelope and not a box is a fluke for aoa. I'd be calling for at least the 1 replacement box of slugs, but at least they're nsa and a firmer alloy than others.
