i usually order ammo from AoA and they usually pack them decently. not this time.. i hope this isn’t a new practice they’ve adopted.

I just ordered ammo from aoa last week and it was packed as good as ever being pellets. I've learned usps and lead don't mix. In the hayday of "if it fits it ships" flat rate I was buying 50 lbs of lead bars and scrap ingots at a go. They were obviously mad and throwing it around and made me come to the local post office to pick up all my little muffin pan I got of wheel weight scrap. More than once it was all over the place and they made me pick it up. I got a free federal property corrugated crate tho.

I will say for that to be in an envelope and not a box is a fluke for aoa. I'd be calling for at least the 1 replacement box of slugs, but at least they're nsa and a firmer alloy than others.

i literally received it just earlier. i also noticed that the ammo that arrived were boxes of 300. the website shows them listed as 400 pcs.

i did send an email and have yet to hear a response. i’ll keep the forum updated
@daddypaddy You’re doing many of us a favor if the count in the description doesn’t match what’s in the box. It has happened to me several times with various vendors. Most are usually pretty good at resolving discrepancies. Please keep us posted. Have you looked on the NSA site to see if they have 400 ct boxes? Which caliber did you order, .22? Even if it’s a typo, I hope they honor their mistake if the mistake is on someone in that shop.

wowww.. so i just shot some of the nsa slugs i got. they were making sharp turns in every direction. my notos normally shoots golf balls out to 75 yards with them.. not today. i was about to start taking my gun apart to see the barrel but decided to take a look at the ammo first.
do you see what i see? i’m willing to bet at least 90% of the 300 are like this. i’ll be sending pictures to AoA.

if you’ve ordered recently. check your ammo. these will not balance and will fly in all sorts of directions.

Yeah that is bad. Hopefully they refund as the damage is 100% on them not the carrier.

You should have spoken to the postmaster or the area postal inspector. If the package broke open, then that's the shippers fault and they can demand better packing. I've shipped tons of lead 60-70# at a time and never a problem. I dis tape them up well with fiberglass packing tape.

update:

i did get a response from Darell of AoA. he said that the new batches of nsa are now in 300 count but their website isn’t updated. he’s going to send me some to account for the missing amount.
i also wrote him back about the deformed hollow points and that i have another 4 boxes on the way which i’m hoping aren’t deformed like these ones. i have yet to hear back from him.

update: i was sent a couple boxes free of charge to account for the advertised 400 and sending 300. the 2 boxes i arrived in bubble envelope and the slugs also have the deformities and/or hollow points partially plugged with excess lead. looks like dirty die or dirty cast(i dont know how the slugs are made

i have not heard a response regarding the tips of the hollow point slugs being deformed. i also just found out that the other order i made was marked as delivered but i did not receive it.
