This hose made it exciting

Just over 4400psi the hose clamp at the compressor gave up and the hose blew off.

I was standing far enough away that it didn't hit me. Fairly new off Amazon in April

Wrong type of fitting! Not Amazon's fault! NEVER use barbed fittings like that (picture) for HIGH PRESSURE air! Those are used mainly for fluids that can't build the kind of pressures we work with. That's a dangerous thing you did there. Glad you weren't hurt. Only use proper rated fittings & hoses (factory crimped hose/fill whip with FOSTER fittings, 6,000psi rating, preferably). We all want to save $ but you can't arbitrarily piece together things you THINK will work. Again, glad no one was injured! HP air is not a play thing. There's potential for great harm so educate yourself & KNOW what you're doing!!!

Time to think about shooting springers.

Then you just have to worry about losing a finger when you don't hold onto the cocking handle or barrel.

But on the plus side...no high pressure air, no compressor, no tanks...etc.
I know 2 guys from the forum who've lost a fingertip to springers too. It pays to pay attention no matter the equipment.

This appears to be the item: https://www.amazon.com/Paintball-Extension-Stainless-Charging-Disconnect/dp/B08D3P3VBB/

My personal rule is to never buy anything for HPA that I think is probably from China (pretty clear when you read the description that at a minimum, the listing is not from someone with English as a primary language), prominently lists paintball as an application (which runs around 800 psi or so), and has a price that is incredibly good for what it is (like in this case) - with one exception: it has been highly reviewed, discussed and recommended here (like with compressors and valves).

One of the reasons China is such a bad source is that it is perfectly aceptable there to advertise that the item has fittings rated to 4500 psi, implying the whole thing would be rated as such here even if it wouldn't . . .

All my fittings and hoses are from Best Fittings in the UK, Airtanksplus, or Joe Brancato . . . HPA is serious stuff.
