Thinking we have enough rain ... Dang !!!

6" of rain that isn't nothing we had 6" in two days that's a joke in Louisiana i thought california was having a drought this would be good wouldn't it if it wasn't all at once, but it is water
The all at once ... We have Valleys, foothills and Mountains. All that water within a short time period ONLY has the water having a few natural ways & directions to flow .. be it quickly or slowly. Thus the problem of near all at once :cautious:

Just remembered I left a 5 gallon bucket out and this is from 2 days, pretty NOT normal here in CA.

Our weather is so screwed up. Starting Christmas Eve we got 2 1/2 feet of snow in 4 days. I seen 2 1/2 feet but never in 4 days, not even close.

. The last 3 days rain, most the snow is gone. I’ve taken advantage of the heat wave, shooting 4+ hours a day. It should be 40 degrees colder, the ground isn’t even frozen.

The extreme differences are insane. Happy New Year Crow

There is ZERO doubt that weather last few years has been dramatically different than all the years of my life before. Regardless of what anyone believes in, things/weather is different now and that's an irrefutable fact. Hope weather will stabilize and return to "normal" cause the new "normal" of crazy drought then flood is not good for anyone.

I'm in N AZ and we've been getting a lot of rain/snow for us. Luckily don't have to worry about the septic as the tank is 300 yards away and 50 feet lower than the house with another 300 yards of leach field. Haven't been able to go anywhere as our road is a clay mud bog. Roll about 6 feet and the tires are slicks. We've gotten way more rain/snow this year than I've ever seen. But we're still in a drought don't cha know.

Were you there when Sack-0-Tomatoes flooded?
Lol ... SACRAMENTO

Sac has had LEVIES sense the 1930's / 40's and while some have broken threw the years flooding areas of the city limits, the interior of sac town has not flooded.
Now go back to IIRC 1972 there was a massive flood south west of sac that put ISLETON & most of the adjacent Delta region under water being far far worse than the news of last weeks rains. Yes was there for that one too !

Yep, that's the one I'm thinking of.

My father was a pilot and we flew over the delta during all this flooding. in 1972. I would have been 13 at the time & do remember viewing it from the air.

Another in the same @ time line ... ROSEVILLES railyard Munitions explosions, was working out at the Denios Auction when it happened !!! BOOM/S !!!!!!!!
And was at Sac Executive airport during the airshow when the F86 Saber Jet crashed into FARRELS Ice Cream parlor on Freeport ave.

Sac native threw & threw

6 years ago Sac area had massive amount of rain and I remember driving down 5 freeway and both sides were flooded. Especially east of 5 freeway all I could see is water and birds all the way to horizon, really surreal! It looked like I was driving by the okavango delta when it gets flooded from discovery channel.

Send some of it to southeast Oregon and Southwest Idaho. We need all we can get. Irrigation in some parts of SW Oregon got shut off at the end of July last year. Crop yields were very low for people in those areas.
We were supposed to be at the end of a atmospheric river last week. YEP, we were, right where the river ended. Got a whole 2” snow at the ranch we manage. We need a couple feet of it.
