Thinking of a Halographic Sight?

Eotech 512 appears to be the industry standard, there are some great dea;s to be found. I'm thinking of using one on a P rod in pistol form, and possibly on a 10/22 for rapid plinking. Are there any alternatives less costly? looking to be able to hit an English Sparrow at 20 yards. Any issues with parallex? Thanks Doug

About 6 months ago, I swapped out the EoTech 512, on my Tavor SAR, for a Holosun 510c and I couldn't be happier.



The Holosun is well made, has excellent sight-picture and target-acquisition is ultra easy, and I didn't notice any parallax, and it costs about 1/2 the price of an EoTech.

That said, the EoTech is a battle-tested (by the Armed Forces) sight system v/s the Holosun (as far as I know) is a "newer" player to the game.

So, for a SHTF situation - I'd probably stick with my EoTech ... But, for pesting / plinking - Holosun is definitely the way to go !!

I have an EOTECH I purchased for Airgun use but don’t use it because I like to have magnification and shoot with more precision out at 50 yards and beyond.

No issues at all with parallax that I can recall.


Mine may have 30 minutes of use. PM me if you are interested. At a fair price to both of us I bet we can make a deal.

I think the best bang for the buck in a premium holo sight is the Vortex Venom. It can be had in both 3min or 6min dot size and has a lifetime factory warranty.

In addition it's one of the smallest around. No magnification so no parallax issues.
