Thinking about selling my kalibrgun gun and buying a bobcat MK2 .30 was just wondering what your guyses experiences with the bobcat

You must be planning on hunting large game. I have successfully shot large birds at 130 yards with the 25 Cricket.

I don't have either of those rifles but what, where and how's of what you planning to do with the 30 caliber will help people to be able to give you some advice. Bill

I'm just kind of curious how everybody likes the bobcat in 30 cal what problems they have had with it if any

Don't have the 30 cal but have the Bobcat MK2 in .22 cal. I have put 17,000 through it in 7 months no problems what so ever. I've put about 10 breech seals in it.

I had a Bobcat Mk1 in .30 and it was awesome. I used to shoot squirrels with that bad boy taking heart/lung shots consistently at 100+ yards. I wish I never sold it.

I would never trade my cricket, the most reliable/accurate gun I ever have, I would recommend to get another gun on .30 cal if budget allows.

I would just keep the gun but I need to sell it to get the rest of the money for the new gun

I've had both a MK1 bobcat and .25 cricket. I can say the Bobcat is a really bulky to me but accurate as they come. I put a Neil Clague on it and it was very quiet. The Cricket .25 was more streamline and points better easier to shoot off hand. Also super easy to work on. I did just what you are thinking about and the Bobcat did not stay around nearly as long. That's One of the best things I love about this hobby ,you can trade and sale to try new guns with fellow enthusiast. I say go for it the worst that can happen is you don't like it trade it or sale and move on. Good luck

Had mine for over 2 years and only had to replace a breach seal once. Other than that no problems. Still will do 9 shot one ragged hole at 50y if I do my part, but sense I don't most of the time or wind 1/2 or less.

Well, I'm a Cricket lover. Got all three calibers in Carbine .177, .22, and .25 . Wish they made a .30
I wouldn't mind having a synthetic .30 FX Boss. Think I would go that route before the Bobcat or the Wolverine or even a Raw for that matter?

Love myCricket I just want something with more power for the woods I'll probably get something smaller for the backyard like a .22

I don't understand this statement... "no problems what so ever. I've put about 10 breech seals in it". Does that mean putting breech seals is not a problem?

Changing o-rings on a PCPs is normal, they tent to wear out, not too quick but they do if we don't keep them lubed.

BTW, I got a Bobcat Mk2 in .25 a couple of weeks ago, and I love it. I owned the FX Indy and the Benjamin Marauder before that. Both for only a couple of weeks though. I bought the Marauder first to see if I even like the whole PCP thing. I did, so I returned it again and got the FX Indy. I ended up returning the Indy as well, because I live at 6700 feet, and I ended up having to pump way more than I expected to.
That said, the only thing that bugs me a little bit about the Bobcat Mk2 is that the "handle" or grip is too thick. I am not a big fan of the thumb hole, or whatever it is called. I have pretty big hands, so maybe that is the problem. I wish they would have left that part the same as on the Indy. Other than that, pretty nice gun.
On power level 2, I get 930 fps with JSB Exact King 25.39 gr. On power level 1, I get 650 fps. So not too bad, I guess.
Accuracy is amazing. Way better than what I can shoot.

I have the FX Bobcat in both .25 and .30. They are both tac drivers. I find myself use the .25 way more often. There are no power adjustments on the .30 unlike the .25cal, it is also considerably louder even with the huggett.

Well I got the bobcat in 30 haven't shot it too much but liking it so far need to tune it up for a little bit more speed for a flatter trajectory
