Thinking About Springtime

It's been spring here in E Texas. dogwoods, redbuds, wild plums blooming, trees budding out and pollen coating everything. Today was rather cool upper 50's, and I think I heard the weatherman say around 82 tomorrow. I mowed the lawn the first time a couple of days ago, and probably should have done so a week earlier as deep as it was getting in spots.

I’m looking forward to not plowing snow. Getting my paper targets out. And I have a couple Stella’s to tear some Bass’s lip. Crow

Definitely warmer weather,the smell of spring air and the environment turning from brown to green.
Oh and going to my friends farms to lower the groundhog population.

I’m counting down the days to morel season here as well.

There are lots of things I love about spring, most of all the spring ephemeral wildflowers under the northern Hardwood forest canopy and the smell in the air of the first real thaw after months of frozen ground.

I just moved east from Oregon… love the seasonal changes in New York.
