Thinking about competing

I hunt and shoot competitive archery, so competing with PCPs is kinda gaining intrest. The problem is I have no idea where to start, class etc. I have several guns of different calipers smallest being a .25 lcs sk19. It is my u derstanding that they hold the state tournament very close to me, in Granbury Texas. Any help with what gun, class etc. Would be greatly appreciated

The best thing to do is to attend one or more different types of matches like Field Target, Benchrest or 10M and see how they are run and what kind of equipment is being used. You might even want to compete with what you have just to see what it's like even though your scores might be dismal. Go to the various forum sites that discuss where the matches are being held. AAFTA or USARB is another good source. I'm not sure where you live, but there is a lot of activity in the Dallas area. Good luck. I'm sure you will enjoy the competition and the camaraderie.

Here is a field target description.

Benchrest is paper target shooting from a bench for score. Each target usually has 25 bulls and 3 targets are a match. The highest score for the 3 cards is the winner. The precision distances for airguns are 25m and 50y. If you don’t like the idea of position shooting...BR may be your thing. The main skill required is wind reading.

Yes maybe the benchrest is the ideal for you, I love it, I also practice FT, but the BR is my thing.
You say you have an .25 LCS SK19 rifle, you can start with that rifle, it is not ideal and the auto mode will not help you much but you can have fun especially in the N50 that Mike suggests, where you can compete up to .30 caliber , in the link that he sends to you are the printable targets, you can print them and start practicing.
Then you would have to look for a more appropriate rifle and especially one that has a trigger very close to match.
