Things that happen when you do something dumb

Well, back to the regulator. Put it all back together last night with new o-rings, but didn't touch the reg. Left the leak detector in the regulator vent and left thinking it was all good. About 30 minutes later, nice big bubble coming from the vent hole.

I think it might be something simple like the reg pressure is set too low, so tonight I'll set higher to ensure all o-rings are engaged when I get home tonight. I think the reg was only showing 80 bar, should be well 120 to 140 or something like that.

I'll post when I find out.

Final leak was the regulator adjustment. Adjusted to about 140 bar, and magically the leaks stopped. Will start shooting this weekend.

One hazard of the Impact and taking it apart. On the cocking block, there are 4 Delrin pucks on the top and 4 pucks on the bottom. This keeps metal from metal contact. The fall out really easily. Some of mine disappeared in the process so I'll have to order more. I'll toss a couple spare valve seats into the order to make it worthwhile, that way I'll have a couple spares on hand.

Now, start the tuning process all over again. . . . . .
