My first quarry was an emerald tree 
skink. I was 8 maybe 9 in the late sixties. It was early morning just after sunrise. The skink came out of the leafy green camouflage of the tropical flame tree to catch early morning rays after a night of light drizzle. It wasn't much of a hunt as the skink was just there. And easily distinguished on the light brown trunk of the flame tree.
Took it with a Crosman 760 pump master. Here is a skink.
