They finally made a regulated Marauder

Crosman came out with a field target version of the marauder and its regulated.

Read the hype VERY CAREFULLY! It is only regulated in target mode. In field mode, it is like any other Marauder.

That's a nice improvement, but I think they missed an opportunity when they only made it regulated at a relatively higher power level. Personally, I'd rather have it un-regulated, but with several logical power levels.

For example, in .177:

• 6 FPE for close range plinking and indoor target shooting
• 11.5 FPE for international field target and back yard pesting (smaller pests)
• Highest power level with great accuracy, maybe 18 FPE? (small game at longer distances or field target shooting, maybe switch in the regulator at this level)
• Max. power level with good accuracy, maybe 20 FPE. (bigger pests @ < 25 yards)

My Compatto is close, it has three settings: 12.5 FPE, 17 FPE, 18-19 FPE. If they had set it up at 6, 11.5, and 17 FPE, that would truly by a do-it-all rifle.
