Thermal Scope

For 2k your looking at entry level thermal rifle scopes, I'd stay away from ATN, there is a reason why they have a lot of refurbish sales. The current hotness are the Bering Hogster series and the AGM Rattlers. Base power is important, I have an AGM Python Micro 35mm in 1.9 base magnification, perfect for short range hunting for hogs and coyotes out to 100 yards with plenty field of view. However, for myself, not enough magnification to take precision shots on small targets out past 40-50 yards. I couldn't make reliable head shots on beavers without increasing magnification and the pixelization results suck for video recording. For small pests at short ranges, I prefer digital NV, I've been using a Pard NV008P LRF and just recently acquired a Sightmark Wraith 4k. I've taken countless pests with the Pard on my Impact Compact day and night. With some of the superior features and 4K definition of the Wraith, I expect easier use and better video results than the Pard.

Like he said good thermal is not cheap but ATN is doing a pretty good job of bringing in the halfway decent stuff at almost affordable prices.

The Thor 4 384 has a 384 by 288 sensor that operates at 60hz. It has twice the battery life of the others at this price range and there are only a couple.

Don't have the Thor but do have an ATN 4K and it is great.

I’m running a super hogster on a 17hmr Bottom pic is 60ish yards, I think the top is 130. Gun was not loaded, it’s my coyote setup for my property. I run a rechargeable battery pack.
