Went for a little walk this morning looking for mushrooms and brought along the trusty Eliminator .22 set at 23fpe!

In a small creek ravine in the hills behind my sister's farm...ran down the hill side and popped up on these logs at about 40 yards!

15.89 JSB right above his eye...lights out!

Nice shooting James! I let out some air from a Scirroco and an Evolution and they transformed into very easy to cock mild RECOIL easy to shoot fun guns! I have the The oven HE pump buy never tried to use it yet hope it still ok over all these years. Yo!

Whistle Pig! I bet you never heard one whistle. Yes, they do. Mostly to alarm the young ones. She gives a quick, sharp, shrill whistle and the little piggies run for the hole! And most folks don't know they are excellent climbers. Yes, they can come down a tree head first just like a squirrel. LOL! they are a squirrel.

Eliminator is a beast! 

My Sirocco Deluxe is 14 ft lb. .177. Super smooth cocking. Very smooth cycle. It's a pre HE. Not too heavy either 7 1/2 lb. . I've had it almost 35 years. Very pleasurable to cock, shoot, and carry. Very good Omega trigger. Anschutz barrel. Wacked a lot of starlings and sparrows with it.

Oh yeah I've had them whistle up a storm at me...especially when they have pups!

And I shot one last year about 6' up a tree...was scouting his area but I saw him first!!! Lol. 39 in the bag last year and this was #14 so far this year...

Good shot James! A well placed shot does wonders. Out of curiosity, what mushrooms were you hunting ? Possibly morrels ? I'm a avid fungi hunter myself. Mostly Chanterelles. Lions Mane when I'm lucky enough to find one.

Great shot! I got some scuttlebutt I want to hear opinions on. But first, for your viewing enjoyment. a Dianarized Squirrel. H&N Excite Hammer pellet .22. Scrambled his brains. Open sights at 20 yards. Knocked him off the bird feeder.

Now for the alleged scuttlebut, which has to do with OP’s Theoben.

I’ve heard that RAW/AF is bringing the break barrels back. Hmmmmm. Would be nice. I wonder why I see such coveted items for sale. I should have kept my Scirocco. Talk about regrets. But I’m a lefty so I justified the sale.

Yes sir Morrels it is...and with the screwed up spring weather we've had not a very good year compared to recent seasons!
