Theoben stock bolt

I bought a rifle and found the stock bolt buggered. You wouldn’t see it because it’s under the trigger guard but I can’t stand butchered screws. Cold blued. 2BE68DF8-B419-4579-B89D-A2949FAD2527.jpegEA5D3E31-9FB0-44FF-BB48-8BFB0EAA80CC.jpeg3246D77B-D250-4086-8539-0229ABFCBF8D.jpegFAA546D0-BB4B-48C9-BFC0-5AA693B35BD8.jpegB05EFD43-1AFF-41BE-8931-9F478CE5D4BC.jpegA04499DD-7114-4AF1-8F0D-F88707F88BE2.jpeg7CFA548C-9E5A-4472-8A11-1C36384C3E5D.jpeg8C8E4C8E-ADE4-4341-A502-D6281B957FB8.jpeg

One of the Allen screws for the trigger guard screws into this. The front one. Mine are Metric. Guard and front stock screws 5-.80
Well since the MKII... The Rapid stock and bolt handle threads has always been 1/4-28....
I have an early MKII with the Sporter trigger(teardrop safety) through the last modell, one stamped made in USA.
Maybe it was rethreaded?!?!?!?

This is a Sirocco made in the 1980's. Pretty simple part really.
Slitting operation will be more fun when I get my little Burke horizontal running again.
