One of my most accurate air rifles with a smooth and easy firing cycle: the rare and beautiful Theoben SLR 98 .22, LONG barrel. Hyedua sporter stock, topped with a Busnell Legend 5-15x40 MD.
5 shot group shot from a seated FT position, AA 16 gn pellets, mild wind, 26 yards. One tight ragged hole, with 4/5 going through the same hole. I should really practice benchrest to see what accuracy this rifle's capable of. One thing's for sure, SLR 98 .22 long deseves better optics!
I really should name this sweetheart...Any suggestions?
5 shots. AA Fields 16 g...Note to self, time to stock up
A 16 gn AA field, standing up for reference. I'm not gonna bust out the calipers, but looks to be less about .1987 center-to-center
Thanks for looking!
