Umarex THE ZELOS IS AMAZING

How do you like that straight grip ? I like to adjust that first stage pull very long , and then with a tiny squeeze get that shot.
When on the bench it’s just thumb and forefinger and a squeeze without movement of gun ( the idea anyway)
I have been using it offhand shooting vermin and targets within the 35 yards I have with success .

I'm leaving my Zelos .25 stock for now, maybe later down the road I will do a bottle conversion, but it seems to have plenty of shots per fill all stock for me, power is right there with my Uragan and Avenger .25's, it's just more accurate.... no need to dump gobs of cash into this gun, it's fine just like it is.....:)

How right you are. When you consider the cost of entry on this platform “the Zelos is Amazing. “

As the title of this thread says !

That is some really good numbers. I wrote down the pellets you used , and will try them. Most are just over 900 I thought for accuracy we were supposed to be between 880 to 890 for the sweet spot speed according to Nate's video's.
I wouldn't normally shoot them that hot. The JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy 18.13 at 980 fps was better than I thought it would be. Don't think I have pics, but the grouping wasn't that bad for flying that hot.

That being said, I was also surprised by this grouping, granted it's only at about 42 yards, but it's the JSB Jumbo Monster Light 20.83 gr at an average of 915 fps. This was while sighting in and checking zero on a new to me scope I bought from a fellow member, for one of my sons guns a few weeks ago. Thought I grabbed the mag with the JTS Dead Center 21.53 that flies at about 895 fps. I have a few extra mags and was testing before mounting the new scope and grabbed the wrong one.

This is the 20.83 gr at 915 fps from 42 yards.

The New Zelos in .22 cal Arrived it's such an amazing rifle. I set the reg to 2,500 , and filled it up to 3,625 I used the 28 grain HP slugs from Hatsan there APOLO line , and got 20 regulated shots with the Chrony reading between 893.2 to 893.8.
The ZELOS is very small , and would not fit my shooting rest , so I had to shoulder the stock , and use the front part of the rest. I attached a new Spina 6 x 36 x 56 30 mm tube scope the center of the retical is a circle I really like it. The ZELOS really loves these 28 grain slugs they are very accurate. Sighting in the scope was fun , and the last 6 shots I made sharpie dots about twice the size of the slugs. I was very wobbly holding the rifle to shoulder , but got off a few good ones anyway. It was just 45 feet to target , but that is all the bigger my back yard is.😆OV.
I’m tempted to pick one up and develop a metal rail kit for it with an arca mount. Do you think that would be beneficial for that rifle?

Can't say I never had a,ARCA just m loc.
The version we would make would have m-lok standard and the arca rail would be an optional add on. This is the one we make for the Notos now. Similar to this with pic rails but option to switch to Arca. I’m considering picking up the Zelos but haven’t decided on caliber yet.

"I fear it's the bait that always gets me. Budget gun that becomes a Frankenstein money pit." HAHAHAHAHA although this really can apply to any air gun .
Yep, took a $100 AirForce Talon and $700+ later I had a very powerful $300 Talon.

My problem is extensively modding a new gun still under warranty. New I just do minimal mods, air bottle, reg, plenum. Nothing that can't be backed out easily.

Then I have my guns i would never mod. Older British or Korean wood stock .22s. Just too gorgeous, I'd be afraid of damaging them.

If my gun has a bottom rail, it gets an ARCA. A few I added a picatinny just to mount an ARCA. I shoot off a tripod 90% of the time. ARCA is so much better than saddle clamp or more fiddly tripod attachment.

That picture you have plenty of room for an ARCA with the bipod on. I'd say go for it.

I haven't taken off my pressure gauge but typically the port for the pressure gauge is flow Limited for safety it has just a pinhole to vent the pressure to the gauge. If that is the case for the zelos having a plenum installed in that port is not ideal because the flow rate is limited. To get better flow you would have to drill out that hole to a larger size.
The little hole is only in the guage. The hole where it screw's into the plenum is 8 mm.
