Umarex THE ZELOS IS AMAZING

The New Zelos in .22 cal Arrived it's such an amazing rifle. I set the reg to 2,500 , and filled it up to 3,625 I used the 28 grain HP slugs from Hatsan there APOLO line , and got 20 regulated shots with the Chrony reading between 893.2 to 893.8.
The ZELOS is very small , and would not fit my shooting rest , so I had to shoulder the stock , and use the front part of the rest. I attached a new Spina 6 x 36 x 56 30 mm tube scope the center of the retical is a circle I really like it. The ZELOS really loves these 28 grain slugs they are very accurate. Sighting in the scope was fun , and the last 6 shots I made sharpie dots about twice the size of the slugs. I was very wobbly holding the rifle to shoulder , but got off a few good ones anyway. It was just 45 feet to target , but that is all the bigger my back yard is.😆OV.

You don’t need to wait for used the are available in the low $400s usually.
i got mine from GunZone Deals for $420
I was just telling perle I will jump in when they release a 177 😅 I have too many 22s, 25 is covered and no use for bigger.

I fear it's the bait that always gets me. Budget gun that becomes a Frankenstein money pit.

You are absolutely right. I got 3 new guns in the last month. Two being a Edgun Layla and a Karma EQ both .22
Was shooting all three ( zelos included) today and was wondering how this is less than half the cost of the other 2.
Im just sorting out the Lelya and not very impressed. Working the action is clunky feeling not smooth like I expected from a gun in this price range. Taking it apart to fix 2 blown orings found scratches in the air tube from operating the bolt, had to dremel the 2 screw bottoms that were protruding enough to do damage.
The Karma EQ is a lesson to me about not buying a new model till it’s been out awhile. I compare it easily to the Zelos which is less than half the price. Looks the same, Heavier, as of now not as accurate, what could be dangerous trigger problems ( I know they upgraded and sent previous buyers a trigger kit which was a 3/8 inch Lego block) mine has “hang fired” , 1st stage has several times reverted back to the 1/2 inch travel. Just can’t get any consistency out of it.
Then I look at the cheap , perfect especially considering the expense Zelos
Hmmmm! I’ll have to see if it’s in .177

Umarex lists one in 177 in the mid 500s for velocity. I have a hard time believing it's that low, it has to be a non fac spec.

I am an old school engineer and firmly believe in KISS. The modern high end guns are just far too complex. I see people spend $2500 or more on a gun and then have to send it off to be tuned at even more cost.

Then you see all the high end guns for sale and the Zelos/M60B rarely comes up for sale. Granted, given retail, you probably won't get much. But I also only see praise for a simple robust platform.

The best ever was the FX Bobcat, Boss, Royale smooth twist series. Simple, accurate and robust.

AirForce has been selling the Talon/Condor for decades with only minor changes. Again, simple, accurate and incredibly robust.

They also say the reg is up to 2,000 , but no goes to 3 , and mine is set at 2,500 for these 28 grain slugs untill I shoot all 2,000 of them lol.Edit: The old ZELOS had a tube clamp with pic rail this new one goes over barrel as well . Barrel band. ?

I love my .22 Zelos. Haven't played with it yet on the tuning side but it seems happy with most pellets I've thrown it's way, most of this was between 35-45 yards so not sure at longer distances.

I did get a good deal on it, don't judge me lol from Dack's. Payed about $430 total and it arrived within 5 days. It's not for sale there anymore from what I've seen. I definitely foresee myself getting one in a .25 in the future too and keeping both.

After now owning higher end rifles I still love the Zelos at the price point for what you get. And for what I need it for it excels and will out shoot me at the ranges I shoot it at

I just got a Lelya 2.0 this week. Haven't had a chance to test and shoot it because of family matters. Really hoping I like it, so far I love the feel and size of it. Also hoping it ends up being trouble free. I categorize them as 2 very different guns tho, the Lelya will get more offhand time, but I get the point you've driven home. Higher end doesn't always mean as easy and hassle free. For the price I paid new, I think the Zelos is a fantastic gun! I want to buy another one in .25 and keep both.

Same here Steve, I raised mine to 2400 but it’s saying 2500 now. I got it working with the external plenum from eBay shooting JTS 25.39s

I'm shooting the 28 grain slugs at 893 just asking why the oversized plenum for a 25.39. You should be able to shoot a 40 grain slugs with that bigger plenum.?

I just got the Snowpeak M60B version of the Zelos from Airgun Archery Fun in Canada. Out of the box shooting .177 CPHP's it was hitting 1025 fps at 1500 psi on the regulator. I didn't have time to shoot a whole mag while zeroing my scope. The lowest I could get was 925 fps at 800 psi on the regulator. I've read on the forum mid 700 fps was the sweet spot for accuracy for .177 CPHP's. Wes has stated the difference between the .22 Snowpeak M60 and Zelos was that the barrel length on the Snowpeak M60 is about 2 inches shorter and comes with metal magazines. Last time I checked Wes had the 495 fps and full power version in .177 in stock. I didn't have to pay any tariff fee, but who knows if that will change in the future.
