The 3 ice cube challenge is a painful reminder that I need to practice off-hand more! 😜 I shot three "attempts" and got nothing that I can submit yet!

I also need to figure out a way to keep the three cubes together and usable as I shoot them. I found that debris from the ones I did manage to hit knocked the others off the log they were resting on. Back to the drawing board for ways to "stage" them!

I'm going to attempt to do this with a single shot break barrel (with open sights), I did some practices at spinners @30 yards and it may be doable. Still haven't heard from ATI on where my Liberty is so I'm forced to do this with a break barrel!

AK

Edit: Great. On the day I can record, this is what happens:

Same here. I shot & tried recording quite a few rounds yesterday. I found ice-cubes melting & knocking over the stand. I'm gonna try again today. Tough challenge!

It's been cold enough here in Wisconsin for the last few days to make ice outside, but I grabbed a few cubes from the freezer and headed out onto the backyard range to see if I could shoot three in under 30 seconds. My FX Impact is certainly up to it, but it's cold and windy and I wasn't sure if I'd be shivering too much to hold her straight and on target!

Well, I got four shots off in 14.2 seconds, and hit all three cubes with only one miss. And you know what, it was a nice distraction from an otherwise long day in the virtual classroom.

Thanks to the Airgun Nation Forum for pulling together the distraction!

Geez PJ - 14 seconds! That's amazing. Can anyone say "Shake n' Bake"?! Put a coat on man, there's snow outside 😛

Well, after 3 days of shooting and editing, here it is!
Just so you know, day 2 was recorded at ~7:40PM, so it was basically pitch black. My brother told me that the ISO on the DSLR was hovering at about 12,800 (so not very healthy...)

I hope you enjoy!

As a note, I would have uploaded this video tomorrow if not for the fact that YouTube took down the video I made public today (for the second time even though I appealed it and they put it back up).

Here is my interrupted shot at the ice. The whole video was under a minute but the actual shooting was less than 20 seconds. I feel this should qualify especially since I had to put down my gun, 5 tries, and reset the last ice cube. Every time I shot the 2nd ice it knocked the last one off. Watch and enjoy...

It finally warmed up to 40 degrees here in Wisconsin so I took the opportunity to go out and take the Airgun Nation Ice Cube Challenge. Can I hit 3 ice cubes at 25 yards in less than 30 seconds? Sounds easy enough, but sometimes these little challenges do not go as planned. I got the job done in 3 shots and in about 12-13 seconds.

Thanks to Michael at Airgun Nation for pulling this together. Anytime I can use my airguns to win a prize is a good day for me.

Here's my shot at it!

I had many multiple tries before pulling it off the first time. After that, it went pretty smooth overall. But, the initial frustration was still there after the 3rd rifle so, I laid waste with a semi auto pistol and disregarded the pistol rules. LOL!

Thanks you guys! Love those quadrant targets!
