I bought this Walter Terrus as a thank you gift for my nieces' husband who did some plumbing work for me and did not want any money. He has been part of the family for a couple years and has helped more than just me in the past. He really enjoyed shooting my PCP rifle recently and I wanted to get him a good starter springer for the money. He lives out in the country and I know he will love shooting this rifle and probably my niece too, with a little encouragement.
I wanted to buy him a springer as an easy way for him to get into air rifles. I watched a lot of reviews and all that shot the Walter Terrus had this big smile on their face and look of surprise on the quality and performance of this rifle for the money. When I got this rifle I looked it over and the bluing looked very nice as did the fit and finish. The barrel and breech locked up very nicely to the action and there was very little barrel drop as it only took one revolution of the turret to get it on target. When I took it out of the stock and it appeared to be lubricated properly then I cleaned the barrel. Then I shot it over the chronograph for four different pellet to see the fps.and fpe. and it was putting out 14.25 to 14.5 fpe. I was a little worried when I went out in the field to see how accurate the rifle was but I was not disappointed. I tried to set him up with the basics and got him a plastic ammo box, pellets, allen keys and some other items along with a spare shooting bench I had. He has no idea he is getting this rifle so I hope this is very happy with this gift. Bill
