The wait is almost over...

Get tired of people going...Wow you live on a lake you must fish and swim all the time......Then I say no it gets old just like living on a golf course, it's nice for a few years but then it gets old because you never go to any other lake or golf course...I think it would be funnier to wake up and then decide what lake or golf course to go to rather then being on one year round, for the lake it's you put boats in bring trailer to storage then if you want to go to another lake you need to get,trailer/s out of storage drive boat to landing load boat and then do the same when you get back, its a lot of work and time, having boat in yard on a trailer and just going to whatever lake you want I think is better, we have over 1200 named lakes in our county alone so there is no lack of water for, fishing or boating.

Getting some good thunder now........

"marcella69"Well, I'm only four and a half years away from early SS, but I'm close to filing for disability myself with diabetes ans arthritis! I just hope i hold out long enough to enjoy my new RAW!
Ya health seems to be something we kinda forget about till we hit a certain age, I have the early symptoms of adult diabetes but doc said if I change my diet I could reverse it, wish I could reverse a few other health issues hahaha...

My health is kinda why I'm getting ried of my more expensive long guns especially my bigger caliber's,I'm holding on to my ar15's and about a dozen other longuns and handguns that I can still shoot.
The World of PCPs has opened up a new realm of shooting that fits me well so I don't mind spending some money on them, just sold a Scar 17 FDE to a guy in NC and have another guy interested in my 338 win mag so that's nice, more fun money hahaha. Plus my wife can't get mad at me being I'm buying new guns with old guns so there is really no new money going out if anything I'm putting money into our savings...Sold two guns and it's enough to pay for my AV compressor and a new HMx and still put money into savings, can't beat that with a stick.

That's an excellent question, and I wish the past me could have asked that question of the present me before I ordered my RAW. First off, I would contact Sandra at RAW [(931) 565-3301; [email protected]] to see if all the logistics are in place before you order. When I ordered, the Forest Green Laminate stock block was on backorder from RAW's vendor. I had to wait four weeks before my block even got to RAW's facility in Minor Hill, TN. Then, there was a minor snafu in that I failed to inform Sandra (she handles all the orders and payment processing) that I wanted a Euro Rail and Picatinny conversion kit installed in my forestock. Make sure you tell Sandra each and every feature and accessory you want; she will not prompt you! I'd highly recommend than you scan the RAW website to see what's available (https://www.rapidairweapons.com/xcart/home.php).

Having said all that, my RAW is scheduled to be shipped on July 17, 2017. This is 11 weeks from my order date. I'm told this is typical. You may be able to achieve a quicker shipment time if you get all the ducks in a row first, but RAW utilizes batch processing. By that I mean a batch of orders is processed at once: Action and stock machining, stock finishing, rifle building and testing, and shipping. That is to say that if you add a feature mid-process, you will have to wait until the entire batch is complete before it can be added. This is what I ran into with the Euro Rail issue. RAW has only five employees, not including Martin (owner) and Sandra (Martin's wife). He runs a tight ship and the pre-shipment testing is extensive.

I sold my FX Impact WAY too soon! I had no real experience in custom-made rifles before and was naive regarding the wait. One phone call would have set me straight. I have been without a hunting rifle for nine weeks now, and it's driving me bananas! (For me, that's a short trip :-O). Good luck :)

Yep.......^^^^^^^^^^

I did edgeumakat meself ons tha difrace beetween SWAGE and CAST BOOLITES.........
Read a few different articles about Swage bullets and how they are made compared to Cast bullets, for a airgunner learning to make Swage boolites might be the way to go if a person does a lot of target shooting, it would also be good for hunting. I have a press so all I would need is pure lead and a die for pressing out the bullets, there's a few more steps but I think it would be fun to do if I figure out what weight works best...

"marcella69"Now that I'm in my golden years, I'm diggin' the stealth and low recoil of air rifles. The ready availability of ammo is a big plus, as well.
Plus you don't need to register anything, less the gov knows the better when it comes to my right to bear arms even if it's a Airgun they still can have their place in protecting ones self or property.

From my living room wall to my back bedroom wall is 62 feet and I can get a straight shot, when no one is home I've shot Compound bow and Crossbow up here and now I'm thinking of shooting my Prod up here being its been to hot and muggy outside and it looks like we have another week of this,at least I'm not in Arizona being they are getting blasted, have a brother in Glendale and he has said it been real hot there.

I'm going with the Blue Laminate Thumbhole stock and adjustable cheek piece with the Euro mount on front and Sling Stud in back then I'll order the Picatinny rail accessory, single shot tray, extra mag, the rear sling stud comes with the front Euro stud mount kit so it's just a matter of them installing the stud in stock, about a extra 140.00 plus whatever the charge for Euro mount,Thumbhole stock, adjustable cheek riser and installing the rear stud is so I'm guessing around 2400.00 but will see.

I'm somewhat dismayed at the scarcity of good air rifle hunting rounds. Airgun technology is still in relative infancy, so I'm waiting for good .357 diabolo hollowpoints to hit the market. The rapid rate of advancement in airgun technology and products is the result of the commensurate erosion of our Second Amendment rights. Ironically, the ascension of the Republican Party as the dominant political force in America across the board will bring back those rights, perhaps slowing the rate of advancement in airguns.

I seriously did consider buying another gun to tide me over, but cooler heads prevailed! I do have a Umarex Colt Peacemaker .177 BB pistol that I can plink around with. In fact, she was the first step down the road that led to my RAW .357! I do have a Sig Sauer mag-paddle target pellet trap to shot her in my apartment; but after an unfortunate incident with a flat-screen TV, shooting in the apartment is no longer allowed! I've actually been trying to sell the Peacemaker set-up for quite a while now (http://www.airgunnation.com/topic/wts-umarex-colt-peacemaker-177-bb-pistol-accessories/). I wanted to give her to my grandson, but he's too young yet.
