The Ultimate Lead Collecting System....AIRGUN TARGET SYSTEMS Ballistic Panels

Joe Iturralde is feeling fantastic.

20 hrs

Hey all, so this has been a while coming...

So Stephen Kenyon, a pretty good friend of mine, and a gent by the name of Mark Bookbinder put together a new target system. With that came a new company...Airgun Target Systems. A new system they developed that uses a rubber panel with ballistic fabric molded into it, then mounted on a thick MDF board. It's all very scientific...anyway, I heard about it through the grapevine, called Stephen, and before you know it I had one on the way to me. Now they make 3 different target systems in different thicknesses according to fpe rating. ½" for up to 30fpe, ¾" for up to 50fpe, and a 1" board for up to 60fpe. Recommended calibers are .177 to .25. I received the ½" target system. Very well made. Comes complete with mounting strips for the included target board and targets. Now everyone who knows me knows I represent Predator International, the exclusive importer/distributor of JSB pellets and home of the world famous Polymag pellets (hey gotta plug the brand). So I have a few pellets to burn...lol. So me being me, and testing something to the limit I took the 30fpe rated system and tested it, with a 50.15gr .30 pellet --- out of my Flex. At 8 yards and about 70fpe it stopped that pellet, but buldged the MDF pretty darn good. Needless to say Stephen wasn't very happy with me. Understandable. But hey, this is TESTING! So a few days later, I received the 1" 60fpe system. Now, all the systems have a little weight to them. But they are so nice. So I put the newly received system to immediate use. I just built a new carbine and needed to chrony. I did a lot of chrony work. Now you need to make sure not to hit the same spot repeatedly. Well, I did. At 20+for on the same area that board stopped everything. So I broke out some heavier hitters. No prob. This system is great for up close chrony work. What's real nice is the target board actually will stop bounce back and the pellets will hit the rubber mat, and bounce back against the board and fall straight down. Or, they'll embed into the rubber mat. I hope to see how the target systems do at further ranges, I have no doubt they will do the job. So this is part 1, and I'll leave you all with some pics. Take care and give Stephen and Mark a shout for any questions and to order a system or 2 for yourself. By the way, I shot almost 400 By the way I shot almost 400 pellets into the 60fpe system...🐒😎
