The Springer itch.

It's happening to me right now . For me a big part is also just being able to grab the gun and pellets and go for it . No tanks , no dials , no refilling...Just cock and shoo t , but honestly like All rifles only accurate springers are fun ...But the standard has to be lowered just a little . At 30 yards my FWB will hang with my Cricket 22 if EVERYTHING is perfect including wind . But any wind to speak of , or bad technique and the PCP wins Everytime . But I do get a charge outta kicking my buddies asses with their Marauders, Discos, and Hatsans with my 30 year old slow poke of a rifle .

There is something very satisfying for me in shooting springers. Fully self-contained, maintenance free, reliable old-school technology.

Great for plinking sessions, but I really enjoy hunting with mine the most.

I do own a few PCPs and agree they are easier to shoot accurately. But they are also a bit soulless compared with a quality springer.
