Ever watch a pack of hyenas harassing a lion? They don't have the courage to attack individually. They just run in and take a nip. Then run off giggling. There is no integrity except the integrity of the mob, the might makes right mentality. "We are stronger therefore we are right." Each member of the mob takes a bite and retreats, coward that he is. Each bite emboldens the coward and he takes another and another. Pretty soon you have a feeding frenzy and you can't stop it.

Learned a lot of stuff, very practical stuff, from Odoyle here on AGN.

Hope very much to continue my learning journey at his new site. Already bookmarked.

I like the guy. He bought a lot of airguns off of me years ago. I've talked to him on the phone a few times over the years and he seems pretty knowledgeable.

As a fellow airgunner & human being who tries not to put negativity out in the world (there's far too much of that) I just wish him well. I was just putting the information out there. Didn't expect it to become a bash-fest. Kind of disheartening. Why bash him? How does it hurt you if he does his thing somewhere else? I'd think you'd be elated.

I am on a lot of gun sites, both powder burners and airgun. I have always used my name or some variation thereof, because my name is clean. Everything I have, I have purchased at full retail price. I can afford anything and as much of it, as I want , so my opinion cannot be bought. I do plan to join the above website, but will not use my real name, in case it turns into a freak show. I hope it ends up being like ar15.com. There are millions of ads, you can say whatever you want, advertisers better expect negative things to be posted if they sell inferior products or treat someone poorly, and it will NOT be removed. There are plenty of other GOOD sellers that advertise there so the loss of any one is inconsequential. I have NEVER had a post edited or deleted except for this site. Profanity is plentiful (and other than occasional personal attacks, the subject stays pretty much true to guns and related subjects) , it is an adult site. If you cannot take the flaming, weigh your words carefully before posting. The only feedback on other members allowed is for the classifieds. Whining to moderators and continually flagging posts is ignored. Girls are welcomed, but they got to be tough.

I'm not posting to bash. I really don't want to post anything at all anymore but since I'm JamesD, JimmyD, James (Jim) Dingle & never used anything but I'll say this.

Tony taught me a lot starting back around 2011. I'd been getting into shooting again since 2006. 

Yeah the guy has disappeared once or twice, and I was furious that I lost money at that time; but he paid me back when he returned. More than he had owed. That says A LOT about him, but. I've got a weird thing now where I simply won't send a USPMO to anyone I haven't been in touch with unless the item is sent first. ANYONE can have a woman or anything else throw a wrench in their worlds gears. 

That's just me. I'd rather buy new & not worry over worrying if I just got burned. Not worth being mad at myself for being a fool. Biggest lesson I learned from YO, right there.

Edit: His past or anyone else that's kept it together for the amount of time he or others have been around are to be considered though. Trust is earned, not given. You decide who/how you're willing to deal.


I often miss the ability to discuss off topics civilly with educated individuals and maybe his forum will be a outlet for some of that.

Good luck to him. I've been on a lot of forums over the years and I will say the ones with quiet "back seat" admins do very well, and one with up front in your face admins that reply to every topic and have an opinion on everything usually last about a month. I would very much expect this to be basically a blog/chatroom for him to "share his knowledge" with everyone... kind of an "ask odoyle a question" website. 



Real question is who is going to be the first one to register "Yo" as a username???
