Other The rabbit hole is never ending.

If it were me and set on .30, i would buy the Maverick sniper setup, from the classys, this compressor off of ebay,(from a good seller) and then have 200 for ammo from pyramid air. Then you could trade the scope for another small caliber pcp or sell it to recoup a bit.

Best thing to do is just stay active on here and watch the classifieds. Once your 10days is up you can message people and prob get everything you need and stay way under budget. I just realized the maverick .30 in the classifieds has a great scope on it,but not a great moderator. If noise is not an issue, you would stay under budget there as well, with room for a compressor and ammo.
Thats my plan for my first gun. If I ever decide to spend big money I may end up buying new...

Have you considered an RTI Prophet?

No POI-shifting drinking straw barrels.
Barrel/Caliber swap is quick.
I'm shooting 30cal with 100FPE.
For more power yet you can extend the plenum.
Left-cocking.
Love it. 😊

Left cocking would go against everything my body knows. HA like throwing a baseball lefty. I'm pretty sure I use my whole body to throw it like 30 foot.

Wow, @Scotay42 covered literally everything I was going to type lol.

BC has their upgraded Maverick 30Cal on sale again. I would call them and see if they would take a little more off the top. But even at their listed sale price still a decent deal for a new FX imo. Even comes with some ammos.

And for a starter compressor the GX CS3 is a good option, and is currently rebuildable which is nice. They have coupons on amazon from time to time and you can find them for just over $300 sometimes. I would also keep my eye out for a used AGT Uragan or Vulcan, FX Maverick Wildcat Impact DRS Panthera etc here in the classifieds.

ETA: To complete your package a UTG Accu-Sync mount is a sturdy budget scope mount, and pick a decent 30Cal Moderator and that should keep you right at your total budget goal. Also I wouldnt dismiss a 25Cal, a stout pcp will be able to ethically take down a coyote. My Impact MK2 does an easy 80fpe and I would use it on a coyote if I had to, and I admittedly am on the more reserved side of the hunting ethics conversation.
That’s a great deal…

Looking for opinions on rifles. I currently own springer rifles and want to explore the world of PCP. I have a main focus on accuracy @100yrds. I plan on using this rifle for small game and birds but would like to be able to have a 30cal. for bobcats and possibly a yote if I feel like a challenge. The ability to shoot heavier pellets and or slugs would be great. (Both even better) Cost range I have seen options from 500 up to 4k and everywhere in between my budget is up to 2k but would like to be up and running for that cost. I already have glass but would need everything else. I have an option to buy an impact mk1 in .25 for $1650 but figured by the time I upgraded I would be back at just buying an m4. I've looked at the classifieds on here but can message anyone yet so figured let's go ahead and let the cat out the bag in a post. Some of the rifles I have looked at are below, but I am open to opinions of others because I don't think all of these are capable of shooting .30

FX Impact mk1-m4?
FX Maveric
FX King
Hatsun Factor Bullpup
Hatzun Blitz
Umarex Zelos
LCS ?
Western ?

Give me a hand and let me know. If it costs me a few hundred more to get what I want I would rather do it right the first time. I also need an entry level pump and some projectiles.
Here's my dollar's worth of opinions.

Pay attention to those who say to stay away from rifles that have "soda straw" barrels and point-of-impact shifts -- also known as FX barrel systems.
Do a lot more looking around and reading about other brands of rifles (non-FX) . Don't get in a big hurry to buy -- do lots of research first.

You don't have to buy an expensive PCP to get the benefit of having a PCP. An Umarex Gauntlet .30 (for example) probably shoots just as well as my FX Maverick .30 sniper with the right slug or pellet and hammer setting. The Gauntlet puts out about 98fpe at the muzzle -- the same as how I have my Mav set up. The Mav has set me back a crap-ton of time and money just to be a reasonable shooting rifle. My buddy was happily shooting ground squirrels at up to 208 yards with an Air Venturi Avenger .25 while waiting for the Mav to get the latest and greatest band-aid mod -- the band-aid fix-up mods went on for over a year -- that's the REAL rabbit hole.

Good luck.

Welcome to the best AGN
I think you have it correct do your home work now while you get 10 days , looks to me the 10 conversational posts will not be any concern.
FX guns can be complicated , to be a great gun all the adjustments must be balanced .

Rant mode ON; This POI stuff with FX is PURE BS. Case in point, Tues, took my Mav. 600 out of its case, tried a few different pellets and all were within 1/2" of where it was a month ago. Tried the AEA's it's tuned for and back to center. Put it in the case, Wed morning went to my permission, placed my reactive target at 70 yards, a 4" a 2" and a 1" , got set up, 33.9 AEA's 4" solid hit, 2" solid hit, 1" solid hit, spun it around, good to go. I keep my guns in hard cases because my garage is a damn mess and when I transport them in the back of my car they don't flop around, plus because it a SUV out of sight, out of mind. Oh and the same applies to my Maverick Compact. Key is to have them properly assembled, don't count on FX to do it. Oh and I've had issues with a literally, hand build American rifle. /R that far hitching post is 100 yards, the fence is 130 yards, out 70 yards is my target. I shoot off of a table then switch to my tripod.
