That means every single family of five OWES the government almost half a million dollars.
There are only two ways to pay down that debit. We can print the money or raise taxes
If we print it we create inflation. If we don't print it taxes on the middle class will crush them.

They send trillions of dollars out at thousands of dollars per person plus more for children. Many people did not have to pay rent for a year and some still don't. Unemployment for many is paying more than jobs. Many on unemployment moved from paying for private insurance through a company to free Medicaid. This and other perks have given the middle class and lower middle class unprecedented expandable cash to spend. Then put tens of millions on forever unemployment with no need to ever get a job. This gives tens of millions unprecedented amount of free time to shoot their brains out in the backyards and fields etc like a permanent vacation.
Demand for all airguns and pellets has massively increased because of those things. It is then fueled by the powder burner ammo shortage migrating millions of new shooters used to buying nice guns to airguns. That makes demand exceeding the supply, which always causes pricing to go up. COVID and the transportation issues are the icing on the cake lowering supply in a market that is soaring with demand, cash and free time to shoot.
You also have massive inflation as the more you print and give away the more money overseas suppliers want for their products. Countries like China have trillions in US Treasury Bonds getting less sucure blah blah..... everything about this is working against us as employed consumers.
