The Quiet Corner

Animal,

I live on the big island (Kailua Kona) which is considered the dry side of the island. We did have the hurricane pass by our island last night but not crazy damage like Puerto Rico, did get a lot of rain, some flooding and landslides, no injuries or deaths reported on our island. The other islands are being affected today as I type, just have to pray for the family & friends on those islands.

Well, the entire island of PR took a direct, slow path-over from a cat-4 hurricane, and PR wasn't exactly the epitome of infrastructure before the hit. Hawaii is a different story. She is a State with great infrastructure and emergency procedures (and lotsa dough!) I'm glad you're relatively OK. I guess if I ever move to Hawaii, I'll pick the dry side of the Big Island!

Well I did what you suggested. 1” foam, wrapped over the felt that Donny uses. Had to tape it down pretty well to get her back together. Made a very noticeable difference just by sound.

I did what ernest did in his video, wrapped 1/4" steel mesh around the baffle then the foam then the felt and taped the ends to help hold it in place. After all this work I did make a noticeable difference.
