The Prophet VS FX Impact 3

The real Impact misconception as it applies to orings is people think they are all under pressure or sealing?. Nope, and they are so very easy to work on, easier than hw100;Taipan? Do not believe “as seen on TV” in this game! Wear your BS waders at all times until you find out for your self!! I’m sure you will love the Prophet btw and 3 to 6 mo wait on an impact? Yeah, too long,! Why FX USA is adding dealers when they can’t supply the ones they have? Beyond me..

You can only adjust an FX regulator by increasing pressure without damage to the regulator. If you try to lower the regulator pressure, without first bleeding air from the system, you will damage the reg.

This only applies to the pre-AMP regs. You can adjust them up or down under pressure for a couple years now. Quarter turn and burn a shot or two off.

A shooting buddy of mine bought an impact with a 22,25,30 cal barrels. He set it up as the 30. He likes it as a 30 best. Bucks the wind better and he loves the thump. As did I. But I went a different direction with the RTI Prophet in 22. As I prefer the 22. I love that it shoots the 25gr 22 pellets 900+ (mines tuned to 940) . Its simplicity to fix, tune or mod.. on a good low wind day it definitely holds it's own. I cant see where one cant go wrong with either rifle.

Your really asking a question about individual preferences. What one person likes another dislikes. I started with a Hatsan and then moved to a FX Dreamline. FX, with the Dreamline, was easy to tune and gave me the ability to change calibers.
After having the Dreamline I knew I wanted more power and even more flexibility with tuning so I bought a MK2. I still have the MK2 and just purchased a MK3 in .35. The difference is night and day as far as tuning goes. The MK3 is a wonderful platform which allows you to change so many things and then return back to your previous settings with minimal effort.

It is nice to have a forum to ask the why and which one but each of us is at a different place in our comfort when dealing with our rifles. Some like to tinker while others just want a point and shoot; just keep that in mind when you go through these posts. Best of luck in your decision because at the end of the day it will be your rifle...
