THE most recommended Airgun of all time!

I almost got one, but the short length of pull, and lacking power in .22 pushed me toward a 50S. Couldn't be happier with it :)

I read this statement often about the HW30/R7. It is definitely a light, short rifle. But the length of pull is the same as my D34 and D280. It has an average adult length of pull. Some people don't care for the overall length and lightness particularly in a springer. But please don't base a rejection of this rifle on length of pull.

Good video. The R7 / HW 30’ are awesome springers. I’ve been into airguns long time, I always was thinking of getting one but never did. Always heard how great these guns are. Last year I was lucky to get 2 of them.. I got a new HW30 Urban pro & Used Beeman R7 double gold both in .177. After shooting HW 30 for 1st time - I realized I should of bought one long time ago. Perfect Backyard plinker/ close range pest control gun.

I found a nice old no safety version years ago, it was shooting very weak (around 500fps if I recall). It became my first tuning project ever, I went with a Macarri kit, piston seal and a long barrel weight which I feel balances the rifle much better than without one. Super accurate now and can be shot all day, fps on this one is around 640 with 8.4gr after the tune

I have this one shooting just over 500 & it’s very accurate as is. I was never tempted to power up my HW30, but , now that I have 2 of them, I may be tempted to.
There was the Vortek Gas kit that they discontinued after only selling a few. Looking on their site now it looks like they have a new HO option. May give that a go.

I wasn't really trying to power it up but I knew with mine being a no safety model it had to be old enough to warrant a looking into. It sure did, where or if there was any grease it looked like old, thick muck. I also thought this would be a good candidate for my first attempt at tuning. My personal opinion about the tune kit is for this particular rifle the Macarri kit is softer and more in line with what the rifle should feel like. I have numerous Vortek kits and they are very nice but tend to be a bit "snappy" and potent perhaps better suited to something else or maybe if you have a .20 or .22 and want to shoot flatter/further but again this is my opinion.
