Tuning The Magic of Elis5173 strikes again!

Elis will never fail in amazing me. My neighbor recently handed me his Beeman Webley Tempest along with the model 850 pistol to rebuild up with new seals, springs and lubes.

The 850, also known as the Diana 6S, came with a plastic cocking handle up front. It was shattered in 3 pieces, and my neighbor asked if this part was even still available, which it is not. The plastic cocking handle is not just a beauty piece on the gun. It rotated upwards 180 degrees in order to cock the pistol, and back down in order to be able to fire the gun.

Knowing Elis’s talents from his speed loaders and other custom items he’s made for me, I reached out to him to see if he could recreate this no longer available piece, and also make it function just as the factory piece did with its internal spring and piston inside the plastic cocking handle.

Heres what it looked like when I received the gun-

I had to super glue the pieces back on in order for Elis to pull measurements. Si packaged it all up along with the pistols barrel and off it went to Elis.

Elis built it out of polycarbonate, very tuff stuff, and like I knew he would, recreated it exactly not only in function but in looks. Every detail was taken into consideration in copying the factory piece. I received it yesterday, put the pistol back together, and it works flawlessly. My neighbor was impressed x 100!!!

Heres the completed gun-
