The LGV has landed

Congrats. The LGV is the only springer I own that I haven't felt the need to open up and "improve". Mine's not super hold sensitive, but it does seem to prefer being held closer to the end of the forearm. I usually just put my thumb in the stock screw recess. For pellets, mine likes the Air Arms Fields in 8.4 the best but also shoots the Air Arms Heavys pretty well.

Well she definitely has potential. First shots over the chrony caught me by surprise. JSB 8.44 doing 975fps for 17.7fpe. Loud and jumpy is the only way to describe it. Opened her up right away and unlike the grease packed LGU this was dry as a bone. Took off 2 1/2 coils of the stock spring, quick polish of key parts and a proper lube of moly and black tar. Got it down to 845fps and 13.3fpe and a really quick snap of a shot cycle. Wasn’t very pellet picky but shot great with the 8.44’s and barracuda FT’s.

Which variation of the LGV? Now you can understand why the Walthers have a "following". Unless you've shot one, you won't understand. Wait 'till it breaks in, it's gonna get better a couple thousand pellets from now. When you 2 "become one". Give it a tin to break in, then try some RWS pellets of any kind, shape, size. My Master Pro and Challenger Ultra .177s both shoot 'em astonishing well.

I got the Master Pro. She is definitely a sweet shooter

I looked for one of either a while back to have "backup" to the two I already have-I don't think they are available new anywhere now. I'd look for one used and even those will probably sell quickly. My LGV is the competition ultra version and I like it a lot but the LGU just edges it out for day to day shooting for some reason in my hands. Can't go wrong with either if you can find one.
