Hey guys I’m looking to buy a Umarex gauntlet in .22 because I can’t afford to shoot .25 as much but I want to know what I can do with the .22 to make it have more energy and how many foot pounds it’s possible to modify to??

Its gonna be a really crude and long and heavy but a very accurate gun. The only thing I would order is the Hajimoto barrel band and do the ball and spring trigger mod and replace the regulator or the whole bottle get the higher reg pressure or use what you have to up the reg pressure ninja type reg since the 22 is weak out of the box but first just shoot it as is to appreciate the BEFORE and AFTER. When you first get it if it leaks you tighten the bottle more and hopefully it fixes that. YO!

Good gun, but yes it's long and heavy. I had a 25 cal I modified myself to produce 60 ft lbs and added a 400cc can to increase shot count. I adjusted the hammer spring, the regulator, and shaved the trigger mechanism cuz it was ugly. Additionally, I worked on the cocking mechanism because the increased hammer spring tension only made cocking it worse. Overall it's a super easy gun to work on, but if you're not comfortable I recommend to leave it to peeps who are. Hajimoto is the man and has some awesome informational videos, and is more then willing to help answer your questions. Additionally, he does sell gauntlets he has worked on as well.
