My BIL lives in Santa Rosa and there is a big ground squirrel problem at his ranch in the dry creek area. Those things are quite destructive with their burrowing and the vineyard staff are much appreciative when we arrive to thin the herd for them.

Have you heard of Captain Vineyards? I'm in the SF bay and they are a family friend of mine. They had to do a lot of varmint hunting with air guns on their vineyard also.

I'm a touch late to this party but. I've got a friend that is encouraging the little buggers in his tree farm, for "deep irrigation". I can hardly wait until a client steps in a hole and hurts something or he figures out that the little buggers eat the roots of his trees. I've offered my services but he turned it down, we'll see.
