The Galahad is in the building!

Here's the Galahad carbine .22 with moderator dressed in walnut stock.

And a size comparison next to the s410 TDR.

These are the result of 25yrd shot groups with my most commonly used pellets...unfortunately the Polymags wouldn't cycle in the mag.
All shots were taken at full power (where I intend to keep it) with a 200 bar fill for each pellet brand.

The fit, finish, and shouldering of this rifle are spectacular. It shoots from the bench like a big gun (very sturdy). Out the box the trigger is very prounced in its first and second stage pull (not FX-ish but reminiscent of the Marauders trigger). The cocking lever was a little stiff but loosened up after 3 mags. You have to pay attention to push it completely forward to engage a pellet, otherwise it's cool (side lever for me!). Backyard friendly? Try INDOOR FRIENDLY! The moderator/shroud works exceptionally. Oddly, outside the sound signature sounds like, well, literally someone spitting 😐.
And it shoots like a dreammmmm.

Now for the ugly...the rifle shipped well packaged , but all the metal work was greasy...I mean a lot of oil (quickly remedied with a wipe down, but sheesh!).
The thin pellet probe tends to bite into the pellets every so often in a way that you just know "that one is gonna be a flyer," so cycling isn't always as smooth as portrayed in those Shot Show videos (feels like only new rifle kinks, so I'm not too concerned).
And the most disconcerting issue is that the barrel band is loose! Upon closer inspection you can see where the grub screws are missing (REALLY!?)

I'm calling Pyramydair about that first thing in the morning.

Aside from the latter gripe I'm really pleased with the Galahad. I've only had 30 minutes of use with it and, with small annoyances remedied, I'd definitely recommend it to someone thinking about buying it.

I like that stock design. It's one of the more attractive bullpup stocks and they managed to make it work with the wood. Wood bullpup stocks look a bit weird sometimes but this one is ok. I was kinda hoping to see a fancy wood at that price but whatever.

How many shots per fill are you getting and have you put it through a chrony yet?

out of interest, what made you decide to go with the Galahad? At that price you could have chosen nearly any bullpup. Are you a die hard Air arms (nothing wrong with that) fan or was there something else?

@Zebra...yea, I have a thing for AA. I really want that s510 Ultimate Sporter next! But it was the organic look of the Galahad (flowing lines) that made me get it. And faith in the internals. I only got 50 shots in before the indexing mechanism conked out on me.
Impact is too complicated in its simplicity (paradox, huh) for me.
Wildcat/Bobcat was an option but didn't move me.
Cricket, Vulcan....not too mucho.

What's your brand?

I don't have any loyalty to any brand. Or I should say, I give them as much loyalty as they give me.

I just buy what I want. I don't have faith in any particular company. When I buy a new gun, it's 50:50 if it will arrive in working condition usually (no matter which brand). If I didn't love shooting air guns, I would never buy a single product from any of them. If a car company had the same quality control as air gun manufacturers, every vehicle in the world would have been recalled by now.
