…to the power addicted.

Until I’m a much better shot, there’s no reason to purchase more guns.
When I first found out about airguns last year, I was immediately, and only attracted to springers.

Was in a same boat but when I realized it will be harder to get a scope (since they are all imported) that can last through recoil which is also very cheap to get started would be costing more than PCP, I had shifted to PCP. :ROFLMAO:

I think there's still plenty of room for innovation. One thing think could catch on are recoil reducing systems. Like that omnia? Where the whole action moves to cancel out the "jump" its not necessarily new stuff but that's one thingi think could lead to substantially increased power in springers. Just my .02 and I'm probably totally wrong.

Personally, I don't feel as though a springer needs any sort of innovation. PCPs are great, but they are not convenient for the casual backyard airgunner. For the same reason that there's really no reason to "improve" on a shovel, there's no need to improve on the basic spring piston design. It works. It lasts and it's simple.
There's a reason why the Wally World sporting goods dept. offers more springers than PCPs.

The sled system doesn't eliminate the recoil to the scope. Thus you still require springer rated scopes and or special (expensive) shock absorbing scope mounts.

Nobody prefers springer more than me but the ugly reality is, most of the world prefers easy accuracy and power. Springers can be plenty accurate but not easily. Size and weight limit to their power potential. There will always be us outliers that will deal with the quicks of springers for their convenience and nostalgia. Whether or not it's sufficient to keep quality springers around is questionable.
