The 480bar/7000psi PCP Air Compressor by AEA is here...now where are the 480 bar guns? Future proof your hobby with the most affordable big bottle PCP compressor on the market. It just happens to also be the most powerful. Thanks for watching! -Nate


This lasted exactly 6 months to the day. Then won't build pressure past 1400 PSI. So it cost me about $200 per month to fill my gun. The technology does not exist to make a PCP compressor for under $4,000. But everyone still does it. In todays world you are best off using a $300 Yong Heng with a $36 Amazon replacement plan. (Infinite compressor hack.) Try it.

(also the 7000 PSI compressor probably just needs the "piston ring" changed out. I just need to figure out how to do that.)

I feel this is a bit silly, even disregarding me being locked to .177 then i / most i suppose can easy do what i / they would like to do with 4500 PSI
Okay if you are a fill and walk shooter then sure a bigger fill will probably give you more shots on a fill, but i shoot at the bench connected to a big bottle.

BUT ! i am not the kind of guy that will be stopping others in what they like to do.

If they had a regulator that can handle 480bar then the guns would shoot the same but get 2X the shots per fill, maybe more that 2X. I think that would be cool.

My PCP air filter is only rated to 5000 PSI so I could technicly die by using that on a 480 bar gun. They will have to make new hoses and filters for us. But the actual steel braided Compressor hose is rated for 7000+ psi.

Yeah i dident even think about the regulators handling it, CUZ i am not sure a unregulated rifle would handle that, or it probably could, but it might then be a actual upper body workout cocking the damn thing :)

I think i will stay where i am, even if by some miracle i should be able to shoot .22 or larger

I remember back in 2012 shooting the Cyclone, pretty much every single ******* fill i shot so low that i was going " WTH the damn rifle broke" only to find out i was way low on pressure.
Of course me having many filled magazines for the Cyclone did not help in keeping track of shot count.
So much prefer to shoot tethered, this also mean i can make do with pipe reservoir rifles, which for looks i prefer over the bottle rifles.

Most people assume that air compresses in a linear fashion. The misperception is twice the pressure doubles the number of shots. It doesn't work that way. Air is compressed in a logarithmic scale so even if a regulator could reduce 7000 psi to an air rifle's useable pressure it wouldn't provide the number of shots we might assume. Air compresses less once pressure reaches 3,000 psi. It's the reason that a 9L tank actually holds 88cf at 4500 psi rather than 98cf if air did compress at a linear rate. This means is that if there is an air rifle chamber that is rated at 7,000 psi it doesn't provide twice the shots as a cylinder that is rated at 3,500 psi. It would only add about 1.6X the number of shots. The amount of air contained in a given space at a specific pressure can be calculated using Van DerWaal's equation for compressibility of gases.

honestly the fact that this is made by AEA would make me hesitant. I have never seen as many QC and design issues and had so many failures in a single product as I have with the AEA guns. Three guns passed through my hands, none worked as advertised for long, some had signs of previous use even though sold as new (stripped flat head screws, odd parts that didn't match how to videos on repairs), not one could stand up to repeated use without parts failures, leaks, etc.,

I see it this way: the equipment is capable of 7000 psi, but for my requirements, I only need to fill 45-minute and 6.9-liter tanks to 4500 psi. This should exert significantly less stress on it than a system with a maximum limit of 4500 psi. Also, faster fill times? (just because the car can do 240 mph doesn't mean you have to do 240mph:ROFLMAO:)

You may not have purchased the correct AEA rifle; I've owned one for four years, and only one O-ring has failed. stock .357, 340 fpe, for longevity you need to stick with simple design. Bushbuck, Texan, Challenger big bore are simple designed.

That sounds right. Not sure a 7000psi compressor qualifies as simple....
