The first day of squirrel season

1. It was the first day of squirrel season and I have my Benjamin Marauder 177 in hand. the woods were alive , squirrels were jumping in and out of the Hickory Nut Tree . I can hear nuts cracking and had to stop and take a deep breath. the firing commenced .I got very lucky and picked up a 177 Marauder that was extremely accurate with Crosman Premier boxed pellets. I had my limit in a couple hours, man what a way to start the season !

Congrats on your hunt. Hickory trees are my favorite place for squirrels, but they cut them early here, starting mid September then done by first part of November. Your squirrel season really comes in late, our starts in mid September and runs until end of February.
