The Coyotes are infiltrating and I need to take action

Get a phone app that is programmed to make coyote sounds. Howls and yips and young distress are all good.

Better yet, learn how to lip squeak. It can make the target freeze for a half second but they will look right at the source of the sound. Don't let it freak you out. If you don't move, they won't see you. Blinking your eyes is movement. Get them bastagidges. We lost a Shar pei puppy a few years ago to the local yotes.

Take no prisoners

Give no quarter

Blood in, Blood out

Several of the New England states recently passed laws against trapping coyotes. You would get in more trouble than shooting them. Massachusetts is one of them and I believe Conn. is one of the others.

ok I put the Pulsar on the Edgun R5 .30 caliber. Like an hour ago it was dark , I grabbed a tin of my 52 grain slugs . and tossed an apple like 45 yards away ,, I used the railing to steady gun and took a shot it was like 4 inches left and 2 feet high , I cranked the electronic site 30 clicks down and 8 to left shot again missed hi by 2 inches , I lowered it 2 more clicks dead center hit , I threw 1 more lemon and 3 paint balls about 50 yards , hit lemon offhand and shot at paint ball missed a whisker to left I mover sight 2 clicks right , , dead center and hit last one first shot so , I am confident at 0 to 75 yards . Here i gun , slugs and Titus ready to go out at 930 tonight as I saw them at 10 -1030 and 2 to 3 , vengeance is mine , !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm Connecticut lists trapping season started on Jan 1st. Coyote are included in the regs as legal for trapping with no bag limits. It should be fairly easy to get a trapper out to the property to trap the yotes with that many running around. Theres more to it than just that but if hes got enough land or other neighbors who want them gone trapping might work very good. The hunting regs for yotes in Connecticut run the same time but I dont know if airguns are legal to use so thats on the OP to be legal while hunting.

Not going to do you much good reporting a coyote dog attack. But if you make athorities aware they are acting aggressive toward people. All hell will break loose. That pack will soon be gone. You can then use your guns to make their replacements aware your place is best avoided. Anytime you want to discourage animals that group up pigs, coyote, birds etc you will get farther faster by mortaly wounding than on the spot killing. Word of caution dont ever let your dog out by himself always go with even if you have a fenced in yard a coyote can clear a 6 foot fence in a split second.

Don't think I would attempt any shot over 40-50 yrds. Head placement of shot is important.

Update so I went out about 945pm last nite and sat aprox 50 yards from where the coyotes were in my Garden , nothing came out ,I then went on deck and scanned yard and neighbors yard ,

I figured out how to record with pulsar , weird the video looks better threw recording then threw my scope it is a N-550 Gen4 Digital nite vision and I , bought a tiny box like a mini TV which records to a flash drive , does anyone who records nite videos seem like videos look better then what you accually see ? / also I was talking during scanning back yard , and no ound worked , I will try to fix this for next nite hunt ,

What I did say s table and chairs across pond is 150 yards from where I was when scanning field , and when I was scanning garden I was 50 yards way in a Cadwell shooting swivel chair which holds gun . Here is Link to videos .

I got a stupid question on them electronic calls , I never saw one , is it sounding like an animal in distress or a other coyote ? I saw a few ant it has like some thing spinning or flopping around . I have used calls for like Geese and crows and ducks and turkeys , But i never hunted Coyotes , I did see one red fox last nite aprox 75 yards away but they ont bother my dog so I left him alone

look they came back again after i went inside last nite they must be outsmarting me lol .

do u think they were watching me ? look 20 min after i came in 2 came out but there is like 15 of them , I think I saw the leader he has black tipped tail and seems to be the king as when they say come out to eat , the big one growls and wont allow any till he eats , maybe freaking neighbor should stop putting out food ?

Also they are hovering around some caged chickens from neighbor and quail other raise , is this what attracts them ? look
