I met the infamous ShootistX. We struck a deal on his FX Boss last week and agreed to meet up in person to complete the transaction which we did today.
He actually struck me as a good dude. He even bought me lunch
He doesn’t mince words and does say whatever is on his mind. He’s straight forward and you can like it or you can dislike it. I can respect that; at least you know where you and he stand and there isn’t any gray area involved. He is knowledgeable about precision shooting, PCPs or otherwise.
The Boss was what he said it was, flawless. You see guys, the “accuracy” rating here on AGN is actually, for the most part, a popularity rating in my opinion. Some of these guys with numerous green balls aren’t necessarily “accurate” with all their posts but rather, they are entertaining and or pleasant. They are great writers, story-tellers or do extensive videos (requires tons of work and editing time!). With that said, some are completely accurate and technical as well. Bravo.
On the flip side of this, guys with red balls aren’t necessarily “inaccurate”. They may have just disagreed with someone or hurt ones feelings. They may be unpleasant in their delivery. They may be very accurate but to the point of abrasive, raw or crude.
Anyway, this Boss is beautiful and accurate. I love it. Got it home tonight and had to shoot it, like now with it dark outside. Mounted rings and scope. Shot (10) quick shots over the chrony ~ 44.75 grainers averaged 870 fps, sweeeet. Topped her off. Drug-out the halogen lamp and extension cords. Sighted in quick and shot two 5-shot groups from 40 yards. Mind you, this gun and I haven’t gelled yet but I feel something special beginning to cultivate here
