I'm sure this has been dragged over coals many times but without searching to find out I thought I'd put my inexperienced experience about trigger pull and cocking of the few air guns I have.

First off, I'm not putting down any or uplifting any, just my opinion.

I know for sure that the FX has the best trigger pull and unbelievable cocking mechanism! Can't believe anyone can argue that.

Next is the LCS, trigger pull, of course no cocking.

Without covering all my guns the HATSAN has the hardest trigger pull and for the non semi-auto the hardest cocking mechanism.

Having said that I totally enjoy all of them.

Is there a way to adjust the trigger pull on HATSAN's?

Taipan trigger is extremely hard to beat, I would say maybe the RAW could compete but the Taipan definitely has a far better trigger than any FX rifle does.

As far as cocking lever goes, I would argue that my alpha wolf had the best but thats not really fair as theres no opposing spring.

However , this is all subjective really.

I have several rifles that share the features of good adjustability, wth design and material that allows a consistent, clean release: RAW, Weihrauch HW100, Daystate Revere, and Taipan Veteran. I have an FX Royale 400 to which I have added the Boss match trigger. The basic FX design is, IMO very odd, and does not allow much adjustment. The Boss match trigger overcomes part of that, with multiple levers allowing a lighter release weight, but the engagement surfaces of the sear and trigger roll (an odd bit of FXism) remain in place, so adjustments are limited. The sear is a flimsy thing, but mine hasn't given problems, so maybe I'm overly harsh in my opinion. If you can obtain a feel that satisfies, it is a servicable trigger.

I have a Marauder and a Dreamline. The only thing the Dreamline has on the Marauder is the adjustable trigger shoe. Both are excellent triggers in my opinion. Certainly good enough for me.
However! I'd be a fool to think either trigger is the "best" in any realistic sense. There are simply too many for me to be any authority. My bet for "close to best" is gonna be one that was tuned and polished by hand, not one you're likely to get off the shelf.

I find the Daystate E-rifles to have the lightest feeling cocking action(not compressing a spring) but the triggers I describe as only acceptably decent.

A 75 fpe 30 cal AAA EVOL took more cocking effort than I prefer but the Tom tuned trigger was great if not a bit more heavy than what I like best. The same brand 22 cal's that are 30-ish fpe had cocking effort that felt fine though.

I wasn't impressed with the cocking feel or the trigger on my 25 cal Impact or any other FX brand pcp. Ordinary?? and I suppose I could put most pcp's in this category.

Some of the best of both apspects for me have been Thomas rifles, nice as far as mechanical cocking feel but especially I really like those awesome triggers.
All Olympic match rifles are up there as well.

The most unique and above anything else I've experienced in a pcp as far as mechanical cocking effort, shortest length to cock the action, the feel of it, and the speed to do it, in a non semi repeater, is my Steyr LGB1 Biathlon trainer!!!
IT'S a gun I can't help but LOVE to shoot.

I prefer the trigger and the smoothness of the cocking mechanism on my Uragan 2, straight out of the box by a fairly wide margin vs the trigger out of the box on my FX M3. Still much better even after I worked the FX trigger a bit lighter.

The worst trigger I have ever used is the one on my Hatsan Blitz - Despite that, I can still get better groups with it than I can with my Diana 54s which have superb triggers.

For the rifles I've owned, in order from best to worst:

Cocking- Daystate (electronic), FX, Daystate (mechanical, lever), Kalibrgun, Brocock, Taipan, Air Arms, Edgun (lever), AAA, Daystate (bolt), Benjamin, Edgun (bolt)

Trigger- Taipan, AAA, Daystate (mechanical), Air Arms, Daystate (electronic), Kalibrgun, FX, Edgun, Benjamin. Very little difference among the first six on that list; going from "great" to merely "very good". Last three weren't terrible by any means, but mediocre compared to the first six.

I "started out" with Hatsans, BT65 in (.22, .25) & an AT44 (.22). There is NOTHING smooth, subtle or adjustable about them to the point where they feel as good as a higher tier gun. I'm glad learned on those but they always had to be manhandled to cock and pull the trigger (even after adjusting Quatro trigger).
The triggers & cocking on my Bobcat, Royale & Boss, to me, are sublime but I'm sure there are guns out there, equal to or better, that I haven't tried. Grateful I feel mine are PERFECT for ME.

There is some subjectiveness in triggers depending on what you are used to.
I became a trigger snob after my second HW springer.

I have put Mrod triggers on a couple Prods converted to rifles. After a spring swaps and a little adjustment, the Mrod trigger is very nice.

But overall my AA500 is the nicest, smoothest gun I have ever touched. I have tweaked the trigger adjustment to where it is almost as good as my HW springers.
