The BEST Airguns, period, bar none...

Certainly an issue. I find this all the time. If you are well-informed/experienced with certain types of equipment (archery, airguns, binoculars, scopes, rimfire. etc.) the "Best" searches rarely are even close. Even when you insert such things as "high end" you don't do well. I've found when a "best" search does provide something helpful, it is usually a link to a forum such as this one.

It is not possible to get an objective answer to a subjective question. New guys often don't know what kind of gear they want or even what they want it for. So an open ended questions seems like a good place to start.

Consider a member, let's say his name is "DARK KNIFE". Old DK searches out the "BEST" question on Google, and he finds that the Benjamin Bulldog comes out top on his search results. DARK KNIFE gets him one and later finds out that it does not meet his needs.

I try not to click on the "Best" threads.
