Ok, this is my first post on this forum since I was warming welcomed....

Just wondering what the background, whatever you call it..is? It looks like some basket weave or something. Don't get me wrong, I like it. It sort of reminds me of one of my PCP barrel shroud.

It's a carbon fiber weave pattern...

Well, I always assumed that the carbon fiber background stands for advanced technology. 

Non-traditionalism.

High performance.





Some other forums I frequent probably would have elected a walnut wood grain background had it been available....

Somehow this seems to explain why I have more posts at AGN than on other forums.....

I think the carbon fiber fits well here.

It is a 2x2 twill weave which is a 2 over/2 under pattern and is a pretty standard carbon fiber weave pattern. It’s also commonly used for Kevlar/aramid fibers. Here are a couple real photos I grabbed from a quick google image search as examples.
