Matt, Evanix is coming out with a .55 cal REX (pistol) it shoot shotgun rounds, but probably shoots slugs too. Or anything else you can fit in the barrel. I plan to shoot nuts and chunks of steak out of mine as treats for the forest creatures. They designed the gun just for a .55 cal shotgun round produced in the USA.
Patriot Airguns suggested it and then sent them a few boxes of ammo, that's all it took. Also, on the Skout, it could be different calibers are different prices.

20 minutes later All the calibers are $2350 but the .357 is $2400. Not bad if you ask me. You get 3 barrels and
a new girlfriend (she's locked inside the gun, but I can tell she is hot from her voice). I have never been so excited in all my life! Please shoot good!
