Thanks Wyshadow for a GREAT Hunt!

Went to see my son play in the Marching band for the New Mexico State- University of New Mexico Game. Barn burner and NMSU upset their rivals 32-31. I was able to team up with Mena, "Wyshadow", for a ground squirrel hunt in the morning. Had a GREAT time and we were able to get 25 squirrels. Can't believe the loud SMACK when it hits! The farmer will be happy as they have turned his ditches into swiss cheese. My .22 Marauder did quite well going 8 for 9 initially. Got over confident and missed several but was able to regain my shooting. We also managed to take a few White-winged doves ( a first for me as well) as they were everywhere. Brought my Browning O/U just in case. Unfortunately I missed out on the Eurasian hunt at the Dairy in the evening but hope to get down there again. Mena was a great guy and host. I have to say I have met quite a few great guys on this forum!

+1 to the above. WYSHADOW took me out to the evening hunt and I will never be the same again My first dove hunt went really well, too

Heard you guys had a great time and the Maximus did well. Hope to have the .25 Matador by that time. Got a sneak preview of Mena's new Matador. Has a little kick! You have a lot of game down there and a very experienced hunting partner. If I was a little closer I would be there every weekend. This hobby is very addicting!

The gun shoots much better than I - that is for sure. I plan on putting on a better showing next time.

Mena has some cool toys and he is a bad influence. I blame it all on him.
