contacted and returned same to Athlon. 

Glory be, UPS came a few minutes ago.. in the box was a brand new gen2 . 

an improved model and you can tell it. Thanks so much Athlon. a great service , more than I expected and quick, too. 

I'm going to strap it on and check it out..

I sent in a scope for the SF clicking. In less than 1 business week, I'll have a brand new scope at my door. Supposed to arrive tomorrow and I'll update then.

I've owned many Athlon scopes and so far all of them have worked fine. The worst thing I can think of is the turret marks not ling up exactly with the mark on the housing in the 1st gen models but all the G2's have been wonderfully nice!!! In fact it's hard to believe they can do this good of a job for the price.

I'm in the same camp. I've owned a lot of $400 scopes and the Argos BTR 2nd Gen has the best turrets of them all, hands down. The turrets even feel better than an $800 SWFA FFP I had. That plus the pretty decent glass and really awesome reticle makes for a lot of bang for the buck!
