As a true and passionate air gun fan, I wish to thank all of you for your posts and assistance, allowing us to all learn from each other. From this forum, I have learned so much. Recently, I finally succumbed to an electronic scale and started weighing my pellets. I thought you were all nuts to go to this level. However, the results were amazing in so many ways.
Last month, I installed my own Vortek spring kit in my TX200, and though the power level is not near as advertised, the gun is finally moving toward acceptable accuracy levels that meet my somewhat demanding expectations. A subscriber made a reply suggestion to a post I had made regarding the possible proper piston seal that helped me solve another issue.
I have literally shot thousands of rounds, including more than 100 different pellets across my .177, .22, and .25 spring and pcp rifles. Recently, after trying more than thirty other pellets, because of this forum, I tried the Crosman Premier .177 pellet in the cardboard box, and found that this pellet outperformed even the JSB Premier Match pellets out of my TX200. I believe it is the way these pellets seem to seat that really make the difference in how they perform, especially when hand weighed to plus or minus .010 grains. I had previously discounted this pellet because of its low price and the manner in which it was packaged.
I look forward to opportunities to give back from my various experiences in the future, returning the favors.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
