Something wonderful and settling about sitting in a tree predawn in sub freezing temps. Its 6:30 and 28° here in mid Georgia and I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. I don't find this kind of peace doing anything else.

It’s funny that I can go to work and get paid to work in those conditions and hate it but love it when I’m out hunting.

Me too. Until i start shivering. LoL. My dream is to have a heated box stand like imold has. I can only last about 3 hrs or so before my feet and hands are so painful that i have to climb down and walk. Getting older has changed my body chemistry. But my tree stand is where i told my wife to throw my ashes because it is so peaceful.

I could only make it 3.5 hours. The only bad part is going to pee afterwards. Difficult to tell whats worse, my icy cold fingers on my molten hot giblets or havin to hold my molten hot giblets with an already painfully cold hand. No quarry to take home, but im going to hunt this lil cold snap hard and put in 2 evenings and 2 more morning hunts before the weather turns this weekend. Ive yet to get any venison in the freezer and im not happy about that at all. Ive been daydreaming about deer chili. I can almost smell it.
