Airforce Texan set up

While I am looking for another Texan .457 so I can have a dedicated night hunting rifle. Today I drilled-tapped my SS and mounted a Pic rail so I can switch between my Athlon and my AGM Thermal. This weekend I will be sending alot of lead at 100yds to tune and sight in.

Just a suggestion, it would be even better if you tap, drill and mount Pic rail along the whole length of the dovetail rail. More flexibility for positioning your scopes and other optics mount. I still wonder why AF continues to produce Talon with dovetail when practically everyone moved to Picatinny and don't look back. Great work BTW installing this Pic rail!

I did the same thing but ran the new pic rail the full distance. It's a nice mod as I swap scopes depending on what I need the rifle to to.

That's cool! Airforce should have released a new model with factory pic rail instead of dove. Great work!
